Pinterest will forever and always be my favorite social media platform. Why? Not only is it constantly refreshed with the best design out there, but of all the various social media channels, it’s the only one that’s never let me down. I go there whenever I’m needing a little inspiration, but on the same token, I also love providing that inspiration for you, my dear readers. Which is why I love highlighting what you guys have found the most pin-worthy.

Feast your eyes, because you guys have some fantastic taste. Here are March’s top 10 pins.

Coming in at number 10 is a photo from a recent spring-inspired tour from a family home tucked away in the heart of Paris. Swoon.

This magical home tour is just another reason to love Amsterdam. Perhaps it’s next on my places to visit?

Wanting more corner office space inspo? Find this photo and more in this post.

I’m not surprised you guys are loving this bright and fresh home tour because it’s owned by Minted founder & CEO Miriam Naficy who clearly has excellent taste.

Not to toot my own horn, but this charcuterie board we made back in 2015 is a masterpiece. Find it and a recipe for the perfect Aperol Spritz in this post.

Turns out you guys love the kitchen of Kris Jenner as much as I do. Though it was designed by the extremely talented Waldo Fernandez and Kathleen & Tommy Clements.

Give me all the al fresco dining spaces. This one landed on a recent list of all the things I’m loving right now.

Is there anything more refreshing than a bright white workspace that inspires?

You guys must be loving the outside-the-box vibe as much as me because this photo came in at number two from a recent home tour of a loft in East London’s Shoreditch neighborhood.

And the most pinned image is this stunning minimal street style shot I grabbed as inspiration for what to wear while visiting Sweden. I have to say, if the most pinned image wasn’t going to be an interior shot, I’m glad it was this one.

If you’re loving this kind of post, be sure to check out our top pins from 2018.

Oh Pinterest, how do I love thee. Let me count the ways. As much as all things blogging and social media constantly changes, Pinterest remains my favorite platform. It’s the place I always go when I need to discover something really really pretty. And apparently you do too, since sometimes as many as 10 million people see our pins on a monthly basis.

And I’m always super intrigued to see what our most-pinned photos were for the year. I have to say, I was a little surprised that in 2018 there was a fair amount of fashion pins!  So I decided to break up our top 10 pins into two categories – fashion and interiors. Because I rarely wear and certainly don’t post cute outfits as much as I used too, but I do constantly use Pinterest for wardrobe inspiration for those days I do get out of my work-from-home leggings uniform!

Feast your eyes friends, because our Top 10 Pins of 2018 are pretty stunning.

Kicking this thing off with the number five fashion pin. I love the idea of a sweater with a skirt. If I ever dare to show my legs in public again #almostforty.

Cropped wide leg pants took over the world in 2018, so it only makes sense they take the number four spot for top fashion pins of the year. I’m particularly loving that terra cotta color.

At number three, we have a photo that inspired my minimal fall wardrobe that was shared in this post. This duster is so good, right?

I live for fall style, so seeing this street style look at number two makes me very happy. And it makes me miss fall.

At number one for fashion, we have this very minimal-chic fall street style moment from my fall fashion inspo post this year. I still loooove this look. Reminder I need a cute baseball hat.

And now for the interiors you guys pinned and pinned and pinned in 2018.

I was a little surprised to see this Copenhagen coffee shop land in the top five, but knowing my readers and followers love European design (and coffee shops) and travel as much as I do made me feel very good.

This photo at number four came from my mid-summer moodboard when I was craving a warm creamy glow.

This copper backsplash and custom hood (see the full home tour here) is still circulating Pinterest like crazy, so it makes sense you guys pinned it non-stop, which put it at number three on this list.

Ah, I love that this photo came in at number two on this list! It’s from the post about my love affair with artful sconces. I’m so happy you guys enjoy a good sconce as much as I do.

And the number one interiors pin of 2018 is this stunning mantle. It’s styling is simple and timeless and makes me want to load up my house with all the vintage brass candlesticks – even after having bid the holiday season adieu.

There you have it! This has definitely shown me what you guys are vibing on for your Pinterest feeds and has inspired me for 2019. So much to look forward to in the new year!

Do you still pin like a maniac? Yeah, me too. Pinning is how I like to decompress at the end of the day or find inspiration at the start of the week. So I thought I ought to start sharing Apt34’s top 20 pins each month – because I find it rather fascinating to see what you find rather fascinating. I hope this offers you as much Monday inspiration as it did me!

When looking for fresh inspiration do you turn to our trusted friend Pinterest like I do? Of course you do. That’s why I was so intrigued when I heard about one of the fastest growing interior design trends on Pinterest. Care to guess what it is? Nope, not terra cotta. Not curved couches. Not even black kitchens. It’s the fifth wall, aka the ceiling! I do agree that statement ceilings can transform a room. From the top down with bold paint, striking wallpaper or intricate texture, a designed ceiling envelopes you, taking a room next level.  Check out the examples below for some major inspiration.

statement ceilings on apartment 34statement ceilings on apartment 34

Painted ceilings are a bold but easy way to add drama to your space. A pattern can help accent a vaulted ceiling, while a solid color adds major contrast.

Statement ceilings are fantastic in kids’ spaces.

White beams add interest while keeping things light. Tailored beams are stately and traditional, while the rough and rustic style soften things with a more country edge.

Cladding is another beautiful ceiling option that adds more texture without closing in on you.

And if you’re lucky enough to have a house that comes with gorgeous beams you can just let them hang out a’natural.

Saves for “statement ceilings” on Pinterest were up +310% at the start of the year. What say you? Would you try this tend in your house?

I have loved Pinterest from the moment it was invented. It remains one of my primary sources of inspiration (and the perfect thing to do on long car trips or while waiting in line). Pinterest is good Diane Keaton designed her entire dream house using the platform and wrote a book about. Even when Pinterest changes this or that to our chagrin, I just cannot quit it. So I decided to take a closer look at what caught your fancy on Pinterest in 2017. It was actually kind of fun to scroll back through all my 2017 pins and see what popped (though you do actually have to manually scroll, hunting for the most popular pins by sight. Ugh. Anyone have the Pinterest analytics silver bullet? I’d love you forever if you cared to share). It was fun to look back at all my 2017 pins, but the following ten pins had over 1.5 million views alone. There’s an interesting mix of spaces and styles. I’m intrigued to hear which one of these is your fave today.

There’s nothing like a good display. I love how this image dresses up an Ikea cabinet (yes that’s ikea) with a mix of art, empty frames, canvases, books and ceramics. It’s a perfect example of how you can create a stunning set up with ordinary objects.

It’s impossible to resist a good shelfie. This space was featured in a showhouse I toured in Seattle. Like the image above it plays on a beautifully consistent color palette – this time with hints of blue, gray and black to create an eye-catching entry.

I was a little surprised this bedroom proved so popular as it’s a bit more rustic than my typical taste, but it’s clean, classic and approachable style certainly makes you want to dive right in.

The hundreds of thousands of repins of this bathroom prove that square tile is going to stick around for awhile. Black accents too.

top 10 pins of 2017 on apartment 34

I adore this kitchen and not just because I almost got that chandelier for our dining room or because my kitchen cabinets are virtually the same color.

top 10 pins of 2017 on apartment 34

Proof that a minimalist shelfie can just as, if not more striking than a maximalist version.

Love this departure from the light and bright trend. Those warm wood cabinets are so super yummy and those hex floor tiles are just stunning. I definitely see the no uppers trend taking hold in the US this year. What say you?

I was thrilled to see a kids’ space make the top 10 pins, particularly because I’m determined to redo my son’s nursery in the first part of this year. It’s time for a proper toddler room!

top 10 pins of 2017 on apartment 34

This space is what wanderlust-filled dreams are made of. This is actually a hotel in Mykonos Greece that I was lucky enough to visit a few years back. Maybe I need to return in 2018!

top 10 pins of 2017 on apartment 34

There are a few consistent themes in this collection. There’s obviously a love for neutral color palettes, bright natural light and an open and airy feel. Certainly, all very easy things to love. And I was intrigued to see a moodboard make the top 10. It’s sentiments  – Carpe Diem, All for Love, Note: the least impressive thing I can be in pretty – are spot on. But I also love its rosy vibe. The ochre hues and hits of black help ground the playfulness, but it still feels fresh, bright and optimistic. After a dark feeling year, I think we could all stand to let more light in.

If you read sites like this one, then I trust you are also a Pinterest fan. It’s still my number one source of design inspiration. And how I pass the time in basically any line in which I ever stand. I always find it interesting to learn what’s currently poppin’ on Pinterest. You can certainly spot trends before they inundate the masses. Pinterest actually just released a study of the 2o rising design trends that are currently catching fire on the platform. There are some more obvious ones like clothing racks and removable wallpaper, but there definitely some interesting ones in there too. Keep scrolling to see my list of favorites.

While bar carts have been all the rage for I can’t remember how long, vertical bars are now catching fire (growing 300% on Pinterest). It’s easy to understand why. They’re space saving, they can be easy to DIY or  an be made super chic like the option above. It’s making me want to get my vertical bar game on.

I’m curious. Which of these trends is your favorite? Have you seen any others popping on your Pinterest feed?
