Tasty Tuesday {Color Coding}

It's no secret that how you think your food tastes has just as much to do with how it looks as its actual flavor. Might the same rule apply to what the kitchen where you cook looks like? Well, I'd like to think so.

I've been captivated by color lately and wondered what would happen if I let it inspiration my menu. Well, this is what came about.

When I spied the smokey green walls, glossy black accents and warm woods in this kitchen, they left me craving something savory, but cozy and comfy all at the same time.

And I found the perfect culinary match in the Savory Pecan Biscuit with Garlic Herb Confit from Roost {ps they're gluten free!}. The tones, textures and I can only hope the taste appear to be the perfect match.

Can't you just see yourself behind that island, mixing dough and crisping sage for the guests about to perch on those perfect stools??

Such a fun idea to tie in colour with the food served. Love it, Mrs. E! Plus, can we talk about that beautiful kitchen and the windows? HELLO! (P.S. Loved following your vineyard weekend through various instagram feeds... how wonderful it all looked!)

Yes I could! I am loving the mix of traditional and industrial kitchens. Any kitchen with large windows has my heart. I hope you have a great day!

Oh, what a fantastic kitchen! I wouldn't go for that style in my own home, but I love it nonetheless. The colour of those walls, the ceiling-high windows, the warmth of the natural wood, fabulous!

That is such a beautiful kitchen! I would never think to go so dark with the color but it really is gorgeous.

YUM - looks good enough to eat if you ask me. Usually I opt for all white kitchens but I love how moody this one is...

I love this color combination. And I must say that Coco from Roost really knows her colors, too!
