A Wedding Dress for a Modern Woman

Though not its intended purpose, when I spied this Phillip Lim gown I immediately thought wedding.

A Wedding Dress for the Modern Woman

It even has your something blue built right in!

Now all you need is a sea cliff. Or maybe a beach. Or a stunning city hall setting {this one is my fave}, groom/partner optional!!

That's a beautiful dress, so hip but still ladylike. Definitely has a modern edge, which I love!

adore the back element, the spine and shoulder exposure, and the draping, but the sleeves leave something to be desired for me.

So chic, I absolutely love it! My cousin had the state-side part of their wedding in SF city hall and it was simply stunning (pt two was a castle in england, nbd..) so I wholly heart that locale as well!

The draping bustle-like fabric in the back is my favorite detail. So streamlined!

This is a very quirky dress but you have to be pretty brave to pull this off for a wedding. I suppose cliches is something that people are aiming to avoid these days, so I wouldn't be surprised if soon we were to ditch more traditional gown (until they are regarded as vintage hehe). Great posts and an interesting idea. You have a great blog, BIG FAN.
