Wedding Wednesday {Showered in Flowers}

Last weekend I had a bridal shower with family and my closest friends but that was really the only thing traditional about it.

We held it potluck style at my favorite space, Rialto (you may have read about it here!) and filled with lovely flowers arranged by Miss Cassandra.

 After noshing on tons of delicious homemade treats I opened my gifts - but I wasn't surprised when I received over 30 thrifted vases. It was exactly as I'd requested! It let my girls look for a budget friendly item and now I have all the lovely vintage milk glass vases I need for my wedding reception flowers!

I'm so grateful for the showering of generosity and love. Thanks ladies!

What a fabulous idea x100!! My daughter was in a best friends wedding last year and it about broke the bank for her. There were so many showers and the expense of flying to the East Coast from Portland, etc.. etc.To have a shower with such a special request and to put those gifts to use at your wedding is truly special. I will be passing this idea on to my daughters! Looked like the best of days. x

What a wonderful idea! Increasingly I know so many brides who have registered for and requested things they'll hardly use and it causes such stress for some of the guests attending multiple parts of the celebration. This was creative, thoughtful and inspiring! Marija
